IRS Announces Tax Relief for SC Taxpayers Affected by Idalia
On September 6th, the Internal Revenue Service announced tax relief for individuals and businesses affected by hurricane Idalia anywhere in South Carolina. These taxpayers have from now until February 15th, 2024 to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments. Similar relief has been provided in most of Florida.
This IRS relief is offered to any area designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Residents living in all 46 counties of South Carolina qualify for tax relief. The current list of eligible localities is available on the IRS’ disaster relief page.
