Burkett Burkett & Burkett Columbia location

BBB & BFS Offices Opening

Hello everyone,

Effective Wednesday, June 2nd we will be re-opening all offices and resuming all “Pre-COVID normal activities” with our clients. We will be putting the furniture back in the lobby, removing posters, no longer quarantining mail and information that clients drop off and unlocking all doors.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, we will no longer require fully vaccinated individuals to wear masks in our offices and will put notices on all entrance doors stating this.

At the current time, we will not be asking for, or verifying, any vaccination documentation from visitors, clients or employees to gain entrance into our offices. We are asking all visitors, clients and employees to adhere to the guidance of the CDC in a continued effort to keep everyone safe.

If you have not been fully vaccinated or prefer added precautions, please feel free to continue to wear a mask.

Important Notes about Our Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

As we all continue to journey through these unprecedented times, we want our clients to know that we are doing everything we can to ensure that our commitment to you is in no way compromised, even though the way we are doing our day to day business has been forced to change. As it was before this pandemic and will always be, our primary concern is the health and safety of our staff and our clients. We have not stopped working or providing crucial services to our clients and we will not, but we will be continuing to use an abundance of caution to protect ourselves and you.

With tax season gearing up, we are trying to make things as easy and safe as we can to get your tax returns completed as well as the many other services you require. At this time, we are scheduling meetings in our office for those of you who feel this is necessary or in your best interest. However, please know that as this situation evolves, and if the authorities or the statistics of the spread of the pandemic mandate it, we may have to cancel those meetings and return to meeting by telephone, Zoom or other methods.

As we do our part to serve you in the safest way possible, we ask for your help and cooperation in this endeavor. If you choose to enter our office, we will require that you wear a face mask and answer a few short questions before moving past the entrance into our office space. If you do not have a mask, we are happy to supply one for you. Please know that all our staff will be wearing masks as well for your protection and theirs.

If you do not feel comfortable coming into our office, we have in place a variety of safe and secure procedures. Just inside our front door, we have a drop box where you can leave your tax documents or other information. There are envelopes, pens, etc. available for your use and it is not necessary for you to enter more than just inside our door. We also have safe and secure email methods to send and receive information, provide documents for electronic signatures and digital copies of your tax returns or other work product. Your information can also be mailed or sent by a carrier such as Fedex and we can return your completed documents in this same way.

On our side, in our office, we are doing our due diligence with regular cleaning and sanitation of surfaces and common areas. We have personal protection supplies for both staff and clients (masks, gloves, hand sanitizer) and we are monitoring our staff’s health, implementing social distancing and limiting close personal contact within our office.

While we are forced to change some of our practices due to this pandemic, we want you to know that what has not and NEVER will change is our commitment to you, our clients. We value your business and the trust you have placed in us and that is not ever taken for granted. We will do whatever we can do, safely and carefully, to meet your financial needs now and in the future. Please feel free to call us with any needs or concerns.

Stay safe and let us know what we can do to serve you!
