Donny Burkett Visits Washington, D.C. with NASBA

Earlier this month on May 17, Donny Burkett had the pleasure of visiting Washington, D.C. to discuss some items of interest between the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and NASBA members. Donny currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), a position that was announced in November 2015. The PCAOB, created in 2002 as a result of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, is a non-profit company that oversees audits of public companies in order to establish accuracy in audits, and to protect investors and the public’s interest.  During the trip, Donny also met with NASBA CEO, Ken Bishop, and attended the Financial Accounting Foundation dinner with some of the nation’s leaders in the accounting and finance profession.
