Congratulations, Donny Burkett!

Our very own Donny Burkett was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by the South Carolina Association of CPAs (SCACPA) and the 100 Year Committee. As part of the organization’s 100 year anniversary, the Centennial Celebration included this recognition. Candidates were evaluated on his or her service to the accounting profession, going above and beyond in service, demonstrating a commitment to the profession, and making an impact in accounting throughout the state. Of the candidates, Donny Burkett was selected to be honored at the 100^th Anniversary Gala on November 11.  In addition to being acknowledged at the gala, Burkett’s name and information will be included in SCACPA’s quarterly report and member magazine, and in The History of South Carolina CPAs.

Donny founded Burkett Burkett & Burkett, Certified Public Accountants, P.A. back in 1976, just two years after graduating from the University of South Carolina. He’s also been a participant in a number of professional and civic activities, showing his commitment to the community and the accounting profession.
