This month, we are welcoming a new full-time Staff Accountant, Parker Horton. Parker has been working with us for the past four years as a Spring Tax Intern, so we are excited to welcome him as a full-time member of the Burkett CPAs team on August 25th.

Parker Horton holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina and has just earned a Masters of Accountancy from the University of South Carolina. A former member of the USC marching band (where he played the snare drum) and an avid golfer, Parker looks forward to growing his knowledge of tax and learning to serve clients as effectively and efficiently as possible in this new role.

This June, we welcomed our latest full-time Staff Accountant, Jesse Clark. Jesse joined the Burkett team as a Spring 2025 Tax Intern, and after showing excellent promise and initiative in this role, we were happy to offer him a full time position this summer.

Jesse Clark holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from the University of South Carolina and is looking forward to learning more about accounting as a profession in this new position. A lifelong South Carolina resident, Jesse is an avid baseball fan and enjoys playing golf in his free time.

Bryan has been with Burkett Burkett & Burkett CPAs since 2016, starting as the Rock Hill Bookkeeper and working diligently up through the ranks to where he is today. Since joining the Burkett team, Bryan has achieved both his undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as passing the IRS Enrolled Agent Exams, showing enormous initiative and passion for his field.

Every year, The State newspaper holds their “State’s Best” contest, inviting Columbia-area residents to vote for the best businesses in a variety of categories. Jessie D. Hazel is a manager at our West Columbia, SC office. Specializing in tax return preparation for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, Jessie started working in the accounting field in 2005. Since joining Burkett CPAs in 2019, Jessie has become a vital member of our team for whom we are extremely grateful.

William Drinnon

William Drinnon supervises and performs financial statement and compliance audits, reviews, compilations, and more. With an accounting career that has taken him to Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, and beyond, William is a highly experienced accounting professional and we are lucky to have him.

Philip Williams

Philip Williams has been a member of the Burkett CPAs team since 2012 and has demonstrated endless expertise in that time.
