Burkett, Burkett & Burkett Hold “Ladies Night Out” to Raise Money for Crystal Smith Breast Cancer Fund

Burkett, Burkett & Burkett Certified Public Accountants, P.A. is pleased to host a breast cancer event, Ladies Night Out, at their office in West Columbia on October 24^th from 5-8pm. All proceeds from the event will go to the Crystal Smith Breast Cancer Fund, which provides wigs, lymphedema garments, mastectomy kits, and prostheses for women who are undergoing cancer treatment and cannot afford them.

The event is free, though donations will be accepted at the door.  Attendees will enjoy appetizers, wine, shopping, sampling, door prizes, and mini-massages from over 19 local vendors.  Jewelry, makeup, clothing, wine, and monogrammed accessories will all be available for purchase.  Renee Dooley, the Major Gifts Development Officer at Lexington Medical Center Foundation, will also be distributing educational pamphlets about breast cancer and the fund, and will have a sign-up sheet for attendees to schedule a mammogram with the LMC’s Women’s Imaging Center.

LMC created the fund in memory of Crystal Smith, who joined the hospital at age 19 and worked there for 22 years.  Each year, the foundation holds their own Women’s Night Out event during Breast Cancer Awareness month to commemorate her and others who have battled the disease.

Parking for the Ladies Night Out event will be available at Burkett, Burkett & Burkett and next door at South Carolina Heart Center and Early Autism Project.
